More news from Germany …

My dad is coming too with my brother! YEAH!!! My dad has never flown in his life, so this will be his first time. I am so happy that he’s getting over his fear of flying and will be coming to visit while I’m still in Texas. Dirk and I are already planning all kinds of fun things for him. I still can’t believe he’s really coming! Wow!

 

Only 2 more days till the weekend, weekends are the best time of the week! AGREE!?!? Hahaha

Our last weekend was pretty eventful, Mitch went to the Indians game with friends on Friday – Go Tribe! Saturday he babysat Alta for the first time, all by himself! Isn’t he an awesome uncle! And Sunday he went onto the big journey to Chicago where he got to spent a lot of time with Cayden & Maddy and of course Matt & Nicole. I’m so jealous, Miss you guys!

 

My weekend was filled with spending quality time with my friends. Friday night was Oktoberfest in Addison with Kandyce, my last time. I went there every year that I’ve been in Texas, always a lot of fun! Saturday started out with a little crisis situation after having an accident with my hair. I really don’t want to get into the details as this experience has dramatized me for the rest of my life. It’s a funny story though, I may tell you one day after a few glasses of wine. J

Saturday turned out to be a great day, when I saw my Dallas co-workers who gave me a very nice going-away party at Tom’s place. Thank you all so much! I will definitely miss you guys!

After a late night, Sunday was all about taking it easy. Isn’t that what Sundays are for anyways? I meet up with Radica for lunch and shopping, love Pei Wei! I hope Pei Wei will ever make it to Ohio, it’s just great food!

Speaking of food, Tammy and I were the test bunnies for Sam’s new fryer on Monday night. And it was actually good; Sam has many talents, cooking is the new one Thank you both for a fun time again!

 

Well, as this week goes on I’m getting more and more excited, only 3 more days until my arrival in Cleveland. After a VERY LONG month I finally get to see my Schatzi again!!! With our house being completed next week and the closing on it, we will have a busy shopping weekend …… OH YEAH!!!

 

Breaking News…..

Breaking News………The Browns and Buckeyes are struggling to score touchdowns this season, hopefully the sports God’s will answer our prayers and get some this upcoming weekend! Ok fine thats not Breaking news but since my parents love FOX News everything is Breaking News. 

Breaking News………Dirk, Doreen’s brother is coming from Germany to Texas to help us pack up the Penske Truck and make the long journey to Cleveland!! We are so grateful for all the support he will be giving us! Also, thanks to all the Mann fam and all the friends for offereing to help in the move! We greatly appreciate it!

Breaking News………the cabinets are in the kitchen!  We believe we made some great choices (ok fine it was mostly Doreen) in the cabinets, flooring, counter-tops, etc!  Doesn’t it look great!?!? Also, the trim work has been installed and painted. We are hoping to get our driveway in tomorrow which is very exciting.  We are very happy with all the natural light we are getting in the Morning Room and throughout the whole house, again another thing Doreen picked from the start!  I think if I tried to do this alone, the house would be dull, thanks D! We are still on target for early October move-in which is crazy to even comprehend on how close that is.

Breaking News…..Doreen will be in Cleveland in 10 days for a week!  I can not wait, I am assuming we are in for alot of shopping. Uh oh….better put my patience hat on.

Doreen will be very busy this weekend with an Oktoberfest night in Dallas and a going-away party her co-workers are giving her!  Me on the other hand is looking forward to babysitting Alta on Saturday.  Then on Sunday, I am making the journey to Chicago to work, in which I am lucky enough to hang out with Cayden and Maddy on Sunday, life just doesnt get any better!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DIRK, NICOLE, and MATT!!!

We wish we were there to celebrate with you all!

It has been awhile since the blog has been updated!  Last weekend I was able to go down and see Doreen in hot ol’ Texas.  We had such a fantastic time.  Upon arrival we started off with a traditional D and M favorite, cooking some brats and having some drinks!  After we filled our stomachs, we headed down to our favorite “watering hole”, also known as the local bar for some fun times and interesting chats!

Saturday and Sunday was just as much fun, we got to hang out with so many friends.  We laughed a lot at Sam’s jokes, Doug’s comments, and many more things!  Being up here in Ohio, I have dearly missed our friends! Pod Pod Pod!

The past work week we were very busy, Doreen worked hard as she always does and I did a brain cadaver lab in Shittsburgh.  Doreen accomplished a lot this weekend, but I will leave the details out because she won’t let me in on her wedding dress shopping! I attended some tailgating fun for the Cleveland Browns game with some friends, it was such a great time until the game started and the Browns lost, actually they didn’t lose, they got manhandled…boo.  D and Radica went to the Rangers game in a suite to watch them play the Red Sox on Sunday!  She must have had a great time with the free booze because she said she doesn’t know who won!  Now that’s just hilarious.

Not too much new on the house, I stopped by today and the workers were sanding the walls, I could barely see because there was so much white dust.  That’s about it for us and the update, but I can tell you this…..THERE WILL BE MORE TO COME!  Please enjoy a picture of the new addition to our friends down in Texas!
