Coming to town

August 29, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Just a couple more hours and Mitch will be here. I can’t wait! This will be his last visit before the big move. I have a few nice things planned for him, so I’m all excited. We’ll try to see as many of our friends as possible this weekend and start to disassemble some of our furniture. Exciting times!

Mitch almost couldn’t make it on his flight today (I’ll leave it as that ;-)), but thanks to Ashley he made it. She saved our weekend!

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH ASHLEY!!!

A few house updates: dry-wall is almost done and we have a garage door now YEAH!!!

Next week: finishing dry-wall, priming, trim-work

Stay tuned…

368 Days….

August 18, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Well the past 2 weeks have been crazy, so I will try my best to catch you all up!

After visiting numerous wedding and receptions places, Doreen and I have finally found the perfect place!  I think we will keep the location to ourselves, since you never know if it will change.  However, the place fits our criteria (outside, very nice, and party atmosphere, etc.)

The exterior of our house has been completed, well besides a few water spickets and small things.  We are both in astonishment of how fast the house has gone up, and it looks faaaaaaaaantastic! Hopefully, this week we get a closing date but its looking like early October, more to come on that…

The electrical, duct work, and plumbing look to be complete, but since this is both our first house, we are not totally sure!  I know for sure that Dry Wall starts on Wednesday, so it needs to be done by then!

Doreen and I are anticipating the next time we get to see each other (Labor Day weekend)! My last visit to Texas before the big move. We’ll be getting together with our friends one last time and looking forward to seeing everyone.

For now, we are trying to juggle new house plans and wedding plans so to put it lightly, we have been quite busy.  Team Taseff went away for the week to Catawba Island and we can not wait to hear the stories about Alta’s first vacation!  Also, D and I wish we could make the journey to Lake Michigan with the Mann Clan from Chicago, please give the kids a kiss from both of us.  Miss you all very much!

I spent some quality time with mom and dad this weekend, watching the Olympics, going to Champs, looking at the house, etc..  It was very nice and relaxing.  While I hung out with the fam, Doreen was down in Texas shopping with her friend and running errands all around town!  Sure miss that girl!

Well ENJOY the pics from the house!  I sure do love exclamation points……Oh yeah, anyone know what’s in 368 Days? :)

Doughnuts and Water

August 7, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Well, here is the latest with us…..

 - Doreen makes another journey to the great city of Cleveland tomorrow…..lots of decisions will be made for the wedding (hopefully).  I cant wait to see her! :)   Not that I am counting but it’s been 11 days since I have seen her last…

- Our house is going up faster than Brett Favre changes his mind.  I brought the Amish some doughnuts and water today and they were overly thankful.  After that, they worked hard as hell and got almost the whole frame on the house done!  So, if you ever decide to build a house, I recommend bringing the workers doughnuts and water!

- Doreen put more house pictures on kodak if you are interested; it’s sooo cool to see how the house progresses…..

- I’m sure “So You Think You Can Dance” will be on the agenda after Doreen’s arrival tomorrow (her favorite show) and a trip to the house, of course!

Enjoy the new Pictures!
